"Dear Ki....

" A thoroughly pleasurable experience. Our guide was outstanding and as well as being very informative she was very helpful in every way. She made this trip a very memorable experience. "
-Mr.T.W Vietnam, July 2008

" We all really enjoyed our stay in HCMC. We were very lucky to have Thoa as our guide. She desbribed the various sights in an interesting and informative way, sorted out problems when they arose and was really excellent with our teenage children. "
-Mr.P.R. July 2008

" An excellent, fascinating and very well organised experience. "
-Mr.C.B. Myanmar, June 2008

" The entire trip was very well organised and supported by excellent guides. They could not have been more helpful and did their best to ensure everything went to plan. A very interesting and enjoyable experience. "
-Mr.M.H. May 2008

" Many thanks for another wonderful holiday - Lucy and I enjoyed ourselves immensly - The guides and drivers were all excellent and very helpful and knowledgeable ...
...we were very grateful that a guide met us at Vientiene airport when we flew in from Pakse - we hadn't expected this as we were just passing through on our way to Luang Prabang (day 10) and expected to have to hang around the airport between connections - it was a very nice suprise to find that we were able to go to a decent restuarant and wonder around the shps for a couple of hours instead.
Once again, many thanks for a wonderful holiday - I am currently trying to sort out the photo's once I've done them - I'll put them all (and Vietnam ones from last year) onto a cd for you to select any suitable ones for use on your web page."
-Mr.V.W.May 2008

" I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our recent visit to Vietnam. It was a wonderful country and everything went very smoothly. The guides were most helpful and friendly and explained everything in a professional manner.
We have recommended Dragon Travel to a number of people since returning and look forward to using your services again in the future. ."
-Mr. & Mrs. M.L. May 2008

" Our first trip to Bangkok. Guide and driver were knowledgable and courteous. Driver skilled. Variety good. Pace too full at beginning but we adjusted. Ayuttaya Museum is a must - we almost missed seeing it. Mr.B. is a good and careful guide."
-Mr.S.P.March 2008

" We thought you may appreciate some feedback-if delayed- after our recent trip. We really enjoyed our experience of this well planned itinerary...
The chance of missing the boat journey down to Chiang Saen was worrying- in fact this trip is such a highlight we would suggest that in arranging trips for other clients you should strongly discourage departures in times of potential low water - it is such a fabulous day.
We would like to emphasise the success of our tour. The itinerary was excellent, the accommodation (with one exception) was great and the late change you made to our hotel in HCMC a success. The variety of river transport was indeed a highlight for our "Mekong Journey"."
-Mr. & Mrs. B.C. April 2008

" From north to south it has been a real trip of a lifetime!"
-Mr.& Mrs.J.S.March 2008

" We would like to take the guide home with us - he is wonderful. Driver skills excellent, felt completely safe and looked after so well."
-Mrs.L.W. March 2008

" Our guide - 'Happy' by name and by nature. A lovely, bubbly and fun person who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we could possibly need."
-Mrs.M.R. March 2008

" Many thanks for a great holiday. Just got back yesterday.
Your guides were very good as was the drivers and vehicles. The guides were all organised, considerate and full of knowledge. "
-Mr.S.V. March 2008

" I just wanted to write to tell you that we had a wonderful holiday, all thanks to your planning.
The travel was good, all flights on time and comfortable with the two hour transfer time in Hong Kong just in enough to stretch our legs. I am a complete convert to tailor made holidays and got so much from having personal guides in Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap. Never did we have to wait for anyone.
I will be writing separately to the tour companies Cambodia and Vietnam to tell them how much we enjoyed ourselves and how good we thought their guides and drivers were. I will remember our trip to Cambodia especially for the beauty of the country and the people. They are a testament to the strength of human endurance and I have never met a kinder people in the face of their suffering. I would very much like to donate to a local charity in Cambodia and am investigating at present, but if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
The mix of history, architecture, people and a wonderful beach holiday at the end was perfect. I am glad we chose CoCo Beach resort. It was different from any of the others in the area and the bungalows were comfortable and fun. The staff at Coco Beach were very helpful without being intrusive and the resort is small enough to still feel the personal touch.
I cannot fault the holiday at all and will remember it for a long time. Please feel free to pass on my thanks directly, since I do not have email details for Asia Jewell Tours in Vietnam and Angkor TK Travel & Tours in Cambodia, but I will write separately also.
You can be sure that I will speak highly of Dragon Tours & Travel to anyone that will listen and hopefully we will be in contact in the future for a return trip!"
-Mrs.W.P. March 2008

" We would like to thank you so much for our recent holiday to Indochina,it was the best holiday ever. We were so well looked after, the guides and drivers were superb, the hotels excellent. When the airline lost one of our suitcases our guide went out of his way to get it back for us. Our guide in Siem Reap 'Bunthing' was simply the best, patient, kind and informative. Everything was so well organised we would recommend you to anyone and hope to travel with you again. Thank you once again. "
-Mr.& Mrs.C.S. March 2008

" Sandra and I returned from our holiday in Vietnam last week. We had a fantastic holiday and have learned so much about the Vietnamese people and their history. We were so well looked after and would like to thank you for making our holiday so very special. "
-Ms.L.W. March 2008

" I just want to let you know how much we enjoyed our holiday.
We were treated like royalty for the whole tour. The tour guides were very informative, very nice and considerate people. I feel it was the hardest for Tina in Cambodia to take us to the prison & killing fields which we found very moving. We were glad we went to these atrocity places to fully understand what Cambodia has suffered in the past...
We would recommend your company to anyone who was interested in visiting that part of the world.
Once again thank you for a great holiday."
-Mr.& Mrs.P.C.March 2008

" We have just returned from our holiday in Cambodia and wish to thank you for making all the arrangements for what turned out to be an excellant holiday. The flights with Thai Airlines where very good, some of the best we,ve done.No problem at booking in and with our seats. We particularly enjoyed the hotels at Siemreap and Sihanoukville. The decor at Hotel De La Paix was stunning, I would love one of those black and white wall pictures of the Ankhor Temples they had hanging on the walls so if they are available in England let me know where. We did get the honeymoon suite at the Sokha Beach which added a memorable touch to the holiday!. The temples at Angkor were even better than we had anticipated, we were pleased to have added the Bang Melia temple one of our favourites. Finally I feel we must say how great your representatives were. They were so well informed and attentitive. It was a pleasure to be with them. I would recommend your firm and this tour. The Temples is one of the world's must see sights. "
-Mr.& Mrs.S.February 2008

" My wife and I yesterday returned from Myanmar. We are both now retired and during the last 15 years have travelled extensively, on package tours, in small groups and many times independently. We have visited U.S.A (7 times), Cuba, nearly ever country in Europe, China (for a month), India, Thailand (twice), Malaysia (three times), Borneo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia (twice) and New Zealand (twice) and we have never before felt the need to write to the provider to express our gratitude for what was our best ever travel experience.
From the moment we were met at Yangon Airport by the excellent Tour Guide Tin Tin and driver we were treated to a standard of care, thoughtfulness, and service we have never previously experienced. Without exception the local guides Tin Tin in Yangon, Zaw Win Cho in Bagan, Zaw in Mandalay and Joseph Andrews in Pindaya and Inle lake and the drivers were extremely knowledgeable, interesting, efficient, punctual and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble and even the smallest suggestion or request by us was met with instant action, although most had already been anticipated.
The general information you provided before the holiday proved totally accurate and was invaluable. While I realise the dangers of over selling a destination it has to be said that your internet site did not do true justice to the breathtaking beauty of Myanmar, the natural charm of the people or the wonderful activities that you arranged for us in the itinerary.
Overall, this was a very special holiday. The arrangements made and the service provided by you and your agents worked perfectly. The accommodation without exception was excellent and if future client seek a break at the end of a tour then the Bayview at Ngapali is a must.
Finally, thank you once again; the places visited and the people met have provided us with so many wonderful memories. "
-Mr.& Mrs.D.B.February 2008

" We would like to thank you and Rob for the arrangements for our recent holiday. Just like our holiday to Vietnam with Dragon in 2006 everything went like clockwork. We were very surprised and pleased to be met at Vientiane airport & taken to the Intercity for the afternoon on our return from the plain of jars--this made all the difference to our long journey home. All our guides and drivers were excellent and they all wanted to make our stay enjoyable. The highlight for us was staying in the Sala Phae floating guesthouse and watching the sunset and dawn."
-Dr.& Mrs.J.L.February 2008

" We have seen a tremendous amount, learned a lot and aroused our curiosity to learn more about the Peoples and the earlier civilisations. We have returned with a library of books, hundreds of photographs and hours of video. Everywhere we went the people were friendly....Certainly we would recommend you to anyone intending to visit all or part of our route."
-Mr.C.P.February 2008

" We are back, as you know from our holidays in Vietnam and Cambodia. We had a fantastic time! The guides and chauffeurs were very helpful and nice, some even had cold water after every visits, some took us to more places than planned, some had dinner or a drink with us !! It was brilliant.... We will start saving money soon to have another trip out there! It was worth every penny."
-Mr.L.C.January 2008

" Apologies for not getting in touch sooner to tell you that we had a great holiday, for which many thanks.
Our three guides were really great – knowledgeable, friendly and flexible with an excellent command of English. We particularly liked our arrival presents of map, pre-stamped postcards, shoulder bags and $50 of local currency each [to be paid for later!].
Also, all the drivers were excellent, too.
The country was fascinating and the people absolutely lovely. Just can’t wait to return and see even more of Myanmar. Won’t go on and on, but simply say that we endorse all your customers’ favourable comments on your website and that thanks must also go to you and your staff in the UK, too."
-Mr.G.H.January 2008

" We were looked after with exceptional care and thoughtfulness, with extra presents of local fruit and sweets. We hugely appreciated the way our guide bought a big bag of sweets for the village children of Phnom Da and she also bought rice for the monks at Bokor. Both these kindnesses made a big difference to the welcome we got. We were impressed with the ease and good humour with which plans could be changed. Nothing eas too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful time. "
-Miss R.M. December 2007

" I just wanted to say thank you for the arrangements on our recent trip to Cambodia. It all went extremely smoothly and according to plan. It was excellent value for money.... a great holiday and all three of us had a really wonderful time. "
-Mr.G.M.December 2007

" We have recently returned from our fabulous two week holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia. Thank you to everyone who co-ordinated the trip. Everything ran like clockwork and we had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable time. The Hotel accomodation was first class and the food plentiful. The guides were really friendly and helpful as were the drivers. All our internal flight and Hotel check-ins were all carried out by our guides, leaving us to relax with no hassle.
Regarding the trips they were very well organised and we were certainly made to feel special with no waiting or queing anywhere. The restaurants we were taken to and the food we were given were very good.
I feel I must mention one guide in particular in Ho Chi Minh, she told us to call her Happy as that is what her name in Vietnamese means. She could speak English very well and there was not anything she wouldnt do for us to make our visit special.
Once again we should like to thank all concerned at Dragon Travel plus your agents and guides in Vietnam and Cambodia for making our holiday so memorable, and making us feel special wherever we went, we would have no hesitation in recommending your company in the future. "
-Mr. & Mrs. K.R. November 2007

" [Siem Reap]Mr.S was very informative and would take us anywhere we wished after the main day's tour was finished. It was an enjoyable few days - we had always wanted to come to Angkor Wat and were not disappointed....[P.Penh & S.Cambodia] A most interesting journey, we feel that we have learned a lot about Cambodia's history and customs from our guide. "
-Mr. & Mrs. L.T. November 2007

[Phnom Penh] Informative and extremely attentive guide made us feel most welcome .... [Siem Reap] Excellent guide and driver, attentive, professional and nothing too much trouble. Day at Angkor Wat exceptional!...

[Laos] We had the good fortune to have Khamla as our guide. He made us feel most welcone, had impeccable manners, had a good sense of humour and went out of his way to make our visit pleasurable. This young man shared his knowledge and love of his country with us and we take home happy memories of Laos. "
-Ms.L.H. and Mr.R.C November 2007

" We have recently returned from our fabulous three week holiday in Vietnam. Thank you to everyone who co-ordinated the trip. Everything ran like clockwork and we had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable time.
The guides were really friendly and helpful and the drivers were very careful and polite. Special mention must go to Lang who met us in Danang. His command of English was superb and even taught us a couple of new words!! He was also very knowledgeable and made a complex history lesson very interesting.
The hotels we stayed in were all very clean and comfortable and I would have no hesitation in recommending your company. "

" We are writing to say how much we enjoyed our 3 weeks in Laos & Cambodia all the guides & drivers were excellent. They were very helpful & in Laos they booked us in on all the internal flights we didn't have to do a thing. The countries were amazing. It was nice to go to both because you realise how different the people are. Before going we thought the countries & people would be the same & thought they would be like Vietnam (we visited last year). But all 3 are very different. Thankyou for a marvellous itinery, everything went so smoothly and all people we met were so friendly. "
-Mr.& Mrs.M & S.T. October 2007

" Lilian went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. She took the time to find out what we did and did not like in the way of food, she provided us with water at no charge and in every way was an excellent tour guide. She even helped us with our luggage, both arriving and departing, for which we were very grateful....Best ever. "
-Mrs. P.H. October 2007

We appreciated all the information given both historic and cultural, Mr.V. being a pleasure to be with. We also had every confidence in our driver. A thoroughly professional service - thank you.
[Siem Reap] Guide was professional, conscientious & knowledgable ensuring everything went smoothly. Cheerful, friendly driver. Would strongly recommend this tour to others. "
-Mr.& Mrs.G.D. September 2007

" The trip to Myanmar was a great success. We were privileged to meet such gentle and wise people who live under such an odious regime. We would encourage anyone thinking of going there to do so to support the people, keep communication channels open with the free world, and also to put money into their private coffers. The trade embargo does more to hurt the common people than those in power...
All of the guides we had, in Yangon, Mandalay and the Lake Inle region were delightful, relaxed, friendly, generous & courteous to a fault and very open with us. It would have been difficult to have found better company. The drivers, too, were excellent.
As ever we do not hesitate to recommend Dragon Travel to anyone thinking of going to Southeast Asia. The planning and execution is meticulous, and the price reasonable. I have passed your website details on to many people...
Our best wishes and grateful thanks to you and all in Myanmar. "
-Pamela & Andrew N. August 2007

" Our guide was very knowledgable and told us much of Cambodian history, customs and life, always polite and with humour. Our driver was always prompt, very courteous and I felt safe being driven by him...A great holiday which will be recommended to our friends. A great insight into Cambodia which we hope becomes an established destination for people from the UK. "
-Mr. & Mrs.A.D. August 2007

" A most enjoyable stay - interesting tours, beautiful sites - made exceptional by a delightful driver and well-informed & entertaining guide."
-Mr.A.B August 2007

" Java [guide] was very friendly. She helped at every opportunity and made our trips run very smoothly....Charley & our driver in Kunming helped to make our stay there have a real local flavour. It was fun travelling around with them. We shall not forget the duck!"
-Mr.P.A. August 2007

" Firstly may I thank you and all at Dragon Travel for organizing a wonderful honeymoon for us. We absolutely loved Vietnam and Cambodia and hope that we will return one day. Everything went according to plan and we were very impressed with all the guides in particular...
...I would like to add special praise for your guides and company representatives in Cambodia, they were un-faultable !! We were both incredibly impressed...
...thank you once again for helping make our honeymoon so special. "
-Mr.A.R. July 2007

" We have arrived safely back home in Brussels last night after an extremely well organised and successful tour organised by yourselves and your agents in Vietnam and Cambodia. Thank you very much for arranging everything so well and proffessionally. It went like clockwork without a hitch, or delays (apart from Vietnam Airlines delay to Ban Me Thuat - which in fact was a blessing as we then missed having to take part of the tour (ride in a dugout canoe in continous rain!) The itinerary was re-arranged the next day and completed in sunshine! Apart from the afore-mentioned rain we only had rain on the day we arrived in HCMC and it returned the day we left Phnom Penh! Not one part of the tour was carried out in rain and we enjoyed dry sunny days, a bit humid, but bearable for the whole tour. Well done in arranging that as well!!! .....
We thoroughly enjoyed Vietnam for its incredibly friendly people and less touristic hype. Cambodia was great and we can only be thankful we visited during the low season - we could only imagine that the high season would be extremely stressful and not nearly so wonderful when one can now wander around the sites without the hoards of tourists expected of the high season......
We made 10 individual flights in total, stayed in 8 different hotels/places, visited many different sites and at every place we were very well looked after - a wonderful piece of planning, welldone!
We will certainly recommend Dragon Travel to our friends and be pleased to be used as a reference by you if required. With our very best thanks and appreciation of a tour welldone."
-C, M and D P-H. July 2007

" Very good! Excellent tour of the capital [Phnom Penh]- thank you!.... Mr.S. [Siem Reap] was a really fantastic guide! Wonderful tour - the best of our entire trip! "
-Ms.S.C and Mr.A.R..July 2007

" We have returned from the tour you organised for us to Vietnam and I am writing to say that we had a fantastic time. The arrangements were perfect and your representatives were very attentive punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel accommodation was all very comfortable and we have put on weight with all of the wonderful and plentiful food that was served to us.
A. and I are both very grateful for the attentive service that you and your representatives afforded us both during the booking process and on the tour itself.
Thank you very much. I hope to be in a position to use your services again in the coming years."
-Mr.N.McC. June 2007

" Wonderfully helpful and friendly guides, who have provided and suggested lots of extras. It's been a great experience - and fun!....Frank is an excellent guide and a most sensitive and intelligent person. We were very priviledged to have him as our guide around the temples......Once again our guide Daisy has been extremely kind, courteous and knowledgable! Superb - Thank You. "
-Mr.M.M & Ms.L.C.June 2007

" Just want to let you know that we had a marvellous trip to Laos and all the guides and sites were very well planned and organised so a big thank you. Next trip will be Cambodia and possibly southern Laos and 5 days on a beach location.
Many thanks for organising the trip!"
-Ms.H.C.May 2007

" Very knowledgable and friendly guide who did everything to make sure we got the most out of our short stay. [In Beijing] Lillian was very knowledgable, enthusiastic and helpful. She performed her role with a great deal of care and kindness as well."
-Mr.A.J April 2007

" Just a quick note to say thank you for organising a wonderful holiday to Vietnam for my wife and I.
The itinerary covered a large variety of wonderful sights and experiences, with excellent standard of accommodation and the guides and drivers were extremely good and helpful.
All this creates a problem for us - where to go next year with yourselves! "
-Mr.V.W. April 2007

" Well-mananged tour. Guide friendly and courteous. He suited the itinerary to our interests. Good knowledge of area and country. Driver always punctual and polite. Overall, a very interesting and enjoyable experience."

" Our Guide was the absolute very best!"
-Miss F.C. March 2007

" The tour was excellently organised and both the driver and guide were always prepared to make on the spot changes. Eddie made sure we had the best seats everywhere and made learning about Thailand and the Thai culture really interesting. Saks driving was safe and relaxing, enabling us to sleep on route!
Thanks to Eddie, Saks and Ki for a great holiday. ."
-Ms.C.K & Mr.S.H. March 2007

" I have been meaning to drop you a line for the last two weeks just to let you know that we had the most wonderful time in Thailand and Cambodia.... The guides in Bangkok and Cambodia were superb, hotels were excellent and we were fortunate to have all our flights leave on time with no delays at all. If I hear of anyone going in that direction on a tour, I shall definitely recommend your company."
-Miss C.C. March 2007

" We just would like to write and say that we had a great holiday and we would like to thank you and your company for the efficient manner in which you organized our whole trip. All the guides were knowledgeable, punctual and presented well and the transport was good.

-Mr.& Mrs.J.H. March 2007

" We could not have asked for a better or more informative guide on our first visit to Cambodia"
-Mr.K.P.March 2007

" ..our tour was splendidly well organised and most enjoyable. Thank you very much! ."
-Mrs.E.G & Party March 2007

" All in all, we had a wonderful time. The people were so friendly, the scenery spectacular, the food excellent (even although Alan doesn't like chillies!) and everyone seemed to want to help us. Cambodia came as a bit of a culture shock but not surprising when the country went through the Pol Pot years. I got the distinct impression they were desperate for visitors and surpringly open about their recent history of the "Killing Fields".
Please send our personal thanks again to all your guides and drivers who made it such a memorable holiday and I've been recommending your company to lots of our friends!"
-Mrs.P.D. March 2007

" Thank you very much for the arrangements you put in place for our recent trip to Myanmar. Everything ran without a hitch apart from the last two internal flights were somewhat delayed, but not drastically so. We undertook your suggested 14 day itinerary and we both felt that the balance and variety were very well thought out...
It was a pleasure to visit a country which has hardly been touched by tourism, and where the people are so genuinely pleased to welcome you, eagerly answer your questions and are happy for you to watch them in their daily lives, without giving you the impression that you are intruding or being a nuisance. The British are truly missing a gem, but yet our European cousins, French, Germans, Italians and Spaniards seem quite happy to visit!
We had four excellent, but very different tour guides, but each was prepared to put on extras to show us as much as possible in the time available...
All the arrangements to, in and leaving Malaysia operated like clockwork and we had no problem with our ‘tight’ connection in Singapore... Thank you again for putting together our wonderful holiday; I shall have no hesitation in recommending Dragon Travel to anyone who wishes to have a bespoke holiday in SE Asia. ."
-Mr.& Mrs.B.C. March 2007

" On Saturday we returned from a trip to Cambodia and Laos with your company. We had a marvellous time, enhanced by the helpful drivers and guides who had a wealth of fascinating information at their fingertips. The hotels, although varied, were uniformly good and we were taken to restaurants where the food was also consistently delightful. The sights and experiences will stay for us for a lifetime, so many thanks.."
-Mr.& Mrs.K.P March 2007

" I'm writing to thank you for organising a most enjoyable tour of Vietnam for me and my wife. While, for me, this was entirely a holiday, for her it was a material gathering exercise for future shows of her paintings. From both our points of view the choices you made for us were excellent, so that there was no need for us to change any of the itinerary.
...All in all we had a wonderful time, and were eventually very happy to go back to Thailand and relax for a week by my brother's swimming pool. We would be very interested to hear in which other countries you arrange tours, as it's most likely we will travel with you again in the near future."
-Mr.& Mrs.D.B. February 2007

" Wonderful! We had the time of our lives. Everything went according to the itinerary and was just perfect. All the guides were lovely, hotels as you described and we feel we had excellent value for money. We look forward to next years trip. A big thank you to everyone involved."
-Mr.& Mrs.P.D. February 2007

" Tour was brilliant. Guides were great. Hotels great. Only one bad meal on the tour - no complaints whatsoever."
-Mr.& Mrs.S and Mr.& Mrs.E. February 2007

" So far we are delighted with the tour and our guide and driver. They are both polite and helpful. The hotel and restaurants have been exactly what we had hoped for."
-Mr.& Mrs.P.L. February 2007

" Our drivers and guides were absolutely first class - friendly, couteous and informative. We have had a wonderful time in Vietnam and hope to return."
-Ms.M.E. February 2007

" (Phnom Penh) A thoroughly enjoyable visit made all the more so because of our knowledgable and attentive guide who was able to to make everything so interesting - and particularly his personal experiences.
(Siem Reap)The tour was made perfect for us because of Mr.B's knowledge and experience. In particular, he adjusted our daily itineraries so as to avaoid crowded times for the big sites and added in others when feasible. His knowledge of Cambodia and buddhist history and the Ramayana meant that the visit to each site was made even more fascinating - and a real experience. Mr.T. is a very good driver, efficient and considerate to his passengers.
Dragon T & T's itinerary was excellent - inclusing all the big sites and adding in opportunities to see other things such as the countryside and village life, the Tonlesap boat trip and the visit to West Baray. Without these things there might have been a risk of 'temple overload'!
A very enjoyable visit."
-Mr.& Mrs.M.P. January 2007

" I have been meaning to write to you about my tour of Myanmar. It went very well indeed and without a hitch, despite the complicated itinerary and four internal flights. I cannot speak to highly of the itinerary that you proposed, which was all I wanted.
In the event, I did get a bit tired of Pagodas (you are not to blame for that) so asked to visit Pakokku, Maymyo and Taunggyi. These were places I remembered from my youth. I left Burma in 1933 aged 7 and I am now 80 years old. These changes were arranged without difiiculty for reasonable extra payments.
The hotels were excellent. The guides were all knowledgable and courteous, subtly altering the itinerary in reponse to my particular interests...
All in all I will enthusiastically recommend your company to any aspiring traveller I meet. "
-Dr.C.S.January 2007

" We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The guide was knowledgable and helpful and added greatly to our enjoyment of the sights. The driver was courteous and careful and the vehicle very comfortable. And the visits were memorable. A great holiday! "
-Mr.M.M and Mrs.A.A January 2007

" We had a great hol in Vietnam and felt we got a great introduction to the country seeing a really wide variety of astonishing sights and places as well as eating loads of delicious food (we’re now both on strict diets) and experiencing sublime chill out moments. We were very pleased we went for the 5 star option, as our first hotel, the Sheraton in Hanoi was just about the best we’ve ever stayed in and a perfect end to a day long journey....
We hadn’t realised we’d get such personal service, and the guides and drivers were all brilliant - once we got used to the fact that driving on the right in Vietnam was more a suggestion than a law! All 3 guides were conscientious and considerate, especially once we learned to modify their schedules to suit ourselves more. They generally kept to your original itinery, but we ended up doing just the Temple of Learning on the first day as we were shattered, and easily covered the missed places on the following 2 days....
Your plan for spending our last 3 days in Phan Thiet was a great one and we thoroughly enjoyed the Sailing Club. It had a great atmosphere and all the staff were really friendly – in fact that was our experience of the Vietnamese people as a whole. We felt totally safe and people couldn’t do enough to make our stay a wonderful experience, so thanks to you for a really fantastic holiday. "
-Mr.& Mrs.D.L. January 2007

" Our guide and driver were both superb. They made our visit to Siem Reap very special and we will both treasure our memories for a very long time. They were both very kind, friendly and very funny but most of all they treated us like royalty! "
-Ms.S.D & Mr.D.G December 2006

" Our driver and vehicle were excellent. Always clean and on time and the driver was very polite. Mr.Lim is an excellent guide and gave us many details to help us understand Cambodia. He made our stay trouble-free and dealt with our needs and wishes in a friendly and efficient way. I wish we could stay longer. "
-Mr.& Mrs.K December 2006

" It was a daily adventure with a new wonder around every corner. We were both comletely exhausted when we got home and wished we'd booked a week on the beach to recover! It was a wonderful "holiday" with all the worry taken out by the amazingly efficient organisation which was without exception, faultless. We shall certainly be looking at going away with Dragon Travel again. "

" It was a wonderful holiday. I would have liked more time to walk around Yangon and Mandalay to enjoy the atmosphere of the twin centres. The Golden Rock was a magical experience & the Savoy Hotel was very good as a base. I hope to have an opportunity in the future to return to this wonderful country. Thank you for making it so special. "

" Dear Ki, we have just got back from our trip to Indo China. It was absolutely fantastic with near perfect organisation and stress free travel. I'll write a longer feedback but just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it. We're already looking at next year!!!" "
-Mr.R.P.November 2006

" If you are thinking of going to China go soon, as the country is changing at an amazing rate. Friends of ours have been in the last fifteen years and the China they told us about doesn't exist any more. The country is vast with cities of four or five million people that we had never heard of.

Our holiday was quite an experience. Its worth spending more on the better hotels to ensure a reasonable level of comfort and some English being spoken, although frequently the Chinese accent was difficult to understand. Our very small amount of Chinese was useful and welcomed by the Chinese we met. The Chinese themselves were lovely people and very proud of the changes happening in their country although, unlike in Vietnam, they didn't seem to have much interest in our way of life.

The large cities are full of rather anonymous tower blocks, several four lane ring roads and a modern out of town airport. Sadly the Chinese heritage sites are seemingly taking second place to modernisation. The highlight of our city visits were; our trip to the hutongs, the "old" Beijing homes, where we spent some time with the occupant and her family - local homing pigeon champions for 2006!!, our visits to the Buddhist temples in Xi'an and of course the Great Wall which was shrouded in a mix of mist and Beijing pollution.

We also went on a very hairy trip to Wolong to see the pandas and this was absolutely wonderful. We were able to see the new born pandas in incubators and the rest of the residents were quite lively as the weather was just right for pandas - wet and cold. The hotel was certainly not equipped to feed westerners but the electric blanket came in very handy as the weather in the hills was very Scottish.

The local guides and drivers were excellent and we were able to visit the Tang Dynasty show in Xi'an and the Kung Fu show in Beijing - both great experiences.

Our Yangtse trip was a little disappointing, the Gorges are spectacular but there were few buildings or fauna next to the river. We were also ill at the end of the cruise and were consequently unable to go to Tibet. The trip to Shennong Stream was most enjoyable and our visit to the dam itself was very interesting.

Our holiday ended in Shanghai with our guide Bernie. He was very proud of his city and rightly so. The buildings here are exciting and different and the whole town exudes an optimism and excitement that is quite exhilarating. We did have a problem in Shanghai but this was sorted with the help of our guide and the local travel company.

We hope that China does not lose all of its heritage in the race to modernisation and hopefully they will sort out their dual language signage in time for the Olympics. "
-Mr.R.T. October 2006

" The organisation was excellent, guides were very intelligible and their english excellent. I felt comfortable with all of them which was excellent as a lone woman traveller. "
-Mrs.J.W. (Myanmar) October 2006

" The road to Wolong was difficult but very beautiful and seeing the pandas was well worth the bumpy ride - brilliant animals! "
-Mr.R.T. October 2006

" The guide was particularly helpful and kind the entire day... "
-Mrs.A.L.September 2006

" Well..... what a holiday!! As you know, we'd not been to that part of the world before, so the holiday was an eye-opener but also gave us the "bug" to see more of some of the countries we've just visited and surrounding countries!
After our wonderful holiday & friends' wedding in Bangkok, we were a bit nervous about being on our own with just a guide, something we've never done before. But we soon found out how things worked over there, and became quite confident! The various guides we had in Sabah were great, very informative and friendly, full of enthusiasm for their subjects and eager that everyone got the most from their visit. Dolly in Mulu was a wonderful person, we really appreciated his informed and conscientious approach to showing us the Wind and Deer Caves. He is passionate about the environment, it seemed, and this came out constantly in his conversation....
....In Vietnam, Cuong put us at our ease, and the overnight trip & journey up to Sa Pa were wonderful! We LOVED Sa Pa, with all its diversity. Cuong was so knowledgeable. His arrangements for some of the places we ate, our transport and drivers, were first class. We had many "firsts" in Vietnam that we will remember for years to come!
Anyway, I won't give you a day by day account, just to say that we had so many memorable experiences in Vietnam apart from the above; the welcome that Minh gave us in Ho Chi Minh City, his enthusiasm to pass on to us some of the day to day customs that we might not otherwise have got to know about. He tried to teach us some basic Vietnamese, but I'm afraid we failed miserably at that! Minh's command of English is excellent, and his sense of humour infectious. Although we spent a relatively short time with him, I have to say that he touched our lives.
We also loved Cambodia, and Chan couldn't have been easier to get on with! He & Tong, our driver, were so friendly and helpful. We had a bit of car trouble one day, but after making sure the car was driveable and we could return to our hotel, we all just giggled and got on with it! The car was fixed by the next morning! Angkor Wat was phenomenal to see, a real dream come true! We'd like to see more of Cambodia, so it's a definite on our new "wish list"!
All our arrivals at new destinations were eased by guides or drivers meeting us promptly with name signs, I can't praise the organisation enough! Our hotels were wonderful, I can't see how we could have had better, even if we had gone for the next star-level. Our last hotel, Seaside Hotel, in Sihanoukville, wasn't quite up to the same standard, but we still had no complaints. It was just that it was so different from where we'd stayed in Siem Reap!!
If we have one complaint over the entire trip, it was the the set meals we were given were too large!! Some of the restaurants we were taken to were fantastic, and the food out of this world. Of particular note was the meal we had on the boatride across Halong Bay! Andy says he's never had such wonderful-tasting fish before!
Our last couple of days in Sihanoukville were lovely. Our last day was spent on a deserted beach at the end of the town, where we'd been taken by bike taxi. But when Sam came to pick us up from our hotel, little did we know we would be driving at about 20kmh for some of the way back to Pnomh Penh! More car troubles, which meant we were unable to do our last trip as the car would not make it up the mountainside to our destination. However, Sam reimbursed our entry fee and arranged for another car to pick us up to continue the journey to the airport, and we were in plenty of time - so no great problem there! Sam was another lovely person, so knowledgeable and jolly!
Ki, thank you for such a wonderful holiday! We wish we were still on tour! Every time I start to sort out our photos on disc, I'm right back there! I keep thinking of things I should have mentioned, but was hoping to keep this email quite short, as I see from your website "comments" section that you've had lots of feedback from other clients already.
Thanks again....
Best regards
Janet & Andy."

" Everything worked out like clockwork - made it look very easy in spite of huge logistical problems behind the scenes no doubt. I particularly enjoyed the friendliness, warmth and companionship of all the guides who taught me a great deal about the history and culture of Myanmar as well as introducing me to many of the locals.
Only criticism - too many very early flights! Very impressed with all drivers as being very careful and safe - a contrast to other road users. "
-Mr.Ian T. August 2006

" This is just a brief note to thank you for the organisation of our recent holiday in Vietnam. The itinerary and hotels were first class, and our driver and guide for the transfers and included tours where excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learnt a lot during our stay.
We would just like to make a special mention of our guide, Khoa, he was first rate, pleasant, friendly and so knowledgeable. He kept us fully informed of everything that was happening on a day to day basis and really made the holiday. We would recommend him to any other travellers.
Once again thank you for a superb holiday."
-Mr.M.S. August 2006

"Just a note to say how much Sue and I enjoyed our tour of Vietnam. Everything was very well organised and, apart from a couple of minor disappointments, we were extremely happy with every aspect of our visit."
- Mr.I.S.August 2006

"Just a brief e-mail to thank you and your company for organising an excellent tour of the South of Vietnam and Cambodia. Your guides were excellent especially Minh in Vietnam who gave us a real insight to Vietnam and it's people. Tuc our driver was superb and safe as he negotiated his way through the almost organic traffic in Saigon. Minh and Tuc were always ready to adapt the programme to fit with our needs, especially the day our teenage daughter was ill. I would recommend that everyone goes to the Delta for a few days, it really is amazing.
Both guides in Cambodia were excellent and left us feeling that we knew some of the things about the country that were below the tourist's horizon. I am now left with the (nice) problem of editing 2500 photos, as the people of Vietnam and Cambodia were so happy to have their photos taken. It was so nice to be able to meet so many nice people.
I would really recommend the Victoria group of hotels they were excellent with a very high level of service.
I am now planning to visit north Vietnam and Laos!"
- Mr.J.B August 2006

" Arrived back from China Wednesday last having had a marvellous time.
Air travel, hotels, cruise ship and the various included trips were all first class and we thoroughly enjoyed the 12 days. No hitches whatsoever.
All the tour guides had a good knowledge of English and gave detailed accounts of the historical background of each of the sites visited. They ensured the checking in to hotels and flights was carried out quickly and efficiently and always looked to our safety and well-being. The vehicles used were clean and air-conditioned as were the various restaurants visited. The variety of food on offer gave us a real appreciation of Chinese cooking and culture. A local Chinese carry-out will now be a poor substitute. Towards the end of our trip we had seen sufficient museums, temples and factory shops and the guides were content to rearrange their schedule and fall in with our wishes.
All in all an exciting and unforgettable holiday.
Many thanks to you and your staff."
-Mr.J.B. June 2006

Everything was very well organised and extremely reliable.... Overall we would have no reservations about recommending your company to others wishing to visit Vietnam as we had a fantastic holiday with excellent service both beforehand from yourselves and during the holiday from the guides and hotel staff. "
-Ms. K.M. May 2006

" My wife and I have recently returned from our holiday in Thailand, and thought we would like to write to you to congratulate you for the way you organised our visit/excursion to Bangkok and the River Kwai. Everything went to plan, and all the arrangements were perfect. The agency representative (Tom), being a local man was an asset to us with the benefit of all his knowledge and/of Thai customs. Also the driver, who chauffered us around was always on time and should be complemented on his driving skills, especially in the busy Bangkok areas, and was a pleasure to drive with.
Wishing your company every success in the future, and thanks again for all your help. "
-Mr. & Mrs.V.H. May 2006

All the drivers and guides were great, and I would like to make a special mention of the guide we had in Mid Vietnam (For Hue). He was the only one who didn't give us a questionnaire to complete and he was brilliant and really made a difference to our trip. (I didn't make a note of his name) I am going to start saving so I can go to China next year! "
-Lisa R. March 2006

-Mrs.G.McP. March 2006

" Thanks for arranging a unforgetable trip, this holiday was an education on Vietnam's history, people, religion and not least its food. Helen and I had a fantastic time and we would like to say a special thanks to our guides - In Hanoi Mr Dang we liked for his humour and warmth, he made us feel right at home in his city and took total care of us. In central Vietnam Mr Ba his knowledge of history present and past was amazing he made us feel like we were back in them times, also had great stories to tell. Finally Hugh in Saigon he made us feel that he was just as excited touring in and around Saigon as we were. Hugh was not able to give us his address but said that you know him well so maybe you could pass on our thanks once again to him and the others too. Ki, you and your team made us feel special and we will spread the word over our Island that for Vietnam and Asia, Dragon Travel is the way to go."
-Mr.& Mrs.D.R. March 2006

" Our holiday in S.E Asia is finally over. I would just like to thank Dragon Travel for making all the arrangements in Myanmar...it was a super holiday and everything went as smooth as silk. All of our guides were very good and nice people as well as being knowledgeable of the country and it’s history. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely and will not hesitate to used Dragon Travel if we go to South East Asia again."
-Mr. & Mrs.R.M March 2006

" My wife and I would like to thank you for the excellent holiday we had in Vietnam last month. The organisation was brilliant. All 3 guides were outstanding - very friendly and helpful and very knowledgable. This was certainly one of the best, if not THE best holiday we have ever had. Vietnam is a beautiful country and the people are very friendly and polite, we felt very safe at all times (except, possibly, when crossing roads!!!). I have managed to transfer my 2.5 hours of video onto my DVD recorder and am working on my 560 photographs."
-Mr.G.H. March 2006

" We found Myanmar a wonderful country to visit with so mnay interesting experiences and fabulous places to see. Dragon Travel should encourage more people to come here. All the arrangements made for us worked well...we found all our guides courteous and patient always waiting for our photo-taking. Their english was excellent and they were well-read and informative without being obtrusive. The whole tour was a nice blend of independance and useful assistance."
-Dr. & Dr.R. February 2006

" Dear Ki, Once again thank you for your service. You give honest and trusted information and very good service especially with customers who change their mind so often! "

(due to travel Aug.2006)

" Dear Ki, just a note to tell you how wonderful all the arrangements Dragon Tours made for us were. We were met in each city with big city buses and a wonderful guide. All of the tours were very encompassing and the guides were extremely knowledgeable....overall, we were delighted with all arrangements made by your company, and I will most assuredly recommend your company for FITS and tours in the far east in future. You have been a pleasure to work with and look forward to future bookings. Sincerely, "
-Bette F, California February 2006
(Group tours of 7 cities visited by cruise ship)

" First of all let me say how well the tour went for us and I have to complement you on the content of the tour and also the smoothness in which the whole thing went. On the content of the tour, we found it excellent. It was a busy tour with lots of early starts, long days whether travelling or trekking and therefore as I asked of you, a tour which for us was perfect. There wasn't any time when we felt bored in the whole 2 weeks and for people such as ourselves who enjoy demanding tours it goes down as a very good one and will be remembered as such for a very long time.

...on the tour itself we found the guides very good, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, and flexible enough to amend the way we did things to ensure that we maximised on the things that we wished to see or do more of, at the expense of things that maybe did'nt interest us quite so much....that's what I call personal attention and it could not be faulted. The hotels throughout the tour were excellent, always a high standard, and after some of the full and tiring days that we had were marvellous to retire to in the evenings and pamper yourself in, whether just to relax over a nice meal, or head down for an excellent massage after a full day out treking or some other active pursuit. The drivers that we had also have to be commended as the roads tended to leave a lot to be desired, in spite of that we never felt at all in any danger when travelling as they drove always very steadily and cautiously.

In summary it was a marvellous, unforgetable experience."
-Mr.R.B. January 2006

" Well, we arrived safely back at LHR early on Sunday morning after an absolutely first class holiday touring Vietnam and Cambodia.

We just wanted to let you know how excellent it was - the arrangements you made for us were superb (and how did you fix it that EVERY flight we took was on time?!) with every guide waiting to meet us with a wide smile when we arrived at each airport. All the cars and minibuses were clean and new, with careful drivers, and as for as our guides, nothing at all was too much trouble for them. Their aim was clearly to help us as much as they could, so we could get the most from our stay. They were knowlegeable, friendly and keen to ensure we made the most from our trip. After our first two days in HCMC, our itinery included two nights at Can Tho, and our guide suggested that if we preferred it, would we like to have an extra night in HCMC with just one night on the Delta, and then we could travel north to visit the Cu Chi tunnels and the Cao Dai temple in addition - at no extra cost. This we did, and we had a superb day. My one concern about our tour before we left the UK was that it didn't include a visit to the tunnels, so this suggestion made our trip just perfect - I'd certainly recommend it as an option for future travellers.

One specific thing that really eased our arrival in Cambodia was that you had sent us our visa application forms in advance. When we arrived at the airport, I reckon we were only two of about half a dozen or so of the passengers from our plane that had the forms in advance (never mind completed!) - as a result, I reckon we were checking into our hotel before many others had even left the airport.

We loved the hotels - particularly the Majestic in HCMC and the Angkor Village in Siem Reap - and while our substituted beach resort the Bon Bien in Phan Thiet was a little dissapointing at first, we were made to feel very welcome by the new manager - the son of the owner - who had only taken over the running of the resort four weeks previously and was doing all he could to make our stay first class. One small thing this hotel did, was that following a freak wave a month or so ago, a lot of the beach front had been washed away - including the stone terrace of the beach bar further down the coast so every day the staff, first thing in the morning spent ages bringing all the sand back to cover the newly installed protective sand bags so you were non the wiser - unlike the Sea Horse (a more upmarket place) further along the beach that had replaced its beach with hideous bright blue sandbags fully on show! We had a first class New Years eve buffet at the Bon Bien - again, all the staff could not have been more willing to please.

As for both countries - wow - we loved them both, and they were quite a contrast - for example, although Cambodia was an obviously poorer country, there were more cars than Vietnam and more high tech petrol stations! The people could not have been more welcoming and gentle - at no time did we ever feel threatened no matter what time of day we were wandering around, usually quite late especially in HCMC exploring all the famous hotel roof top bars (we particularly liked the Saigon Saigon bar in the Caravelle, where all the reporters used to gather to see how the war was progressing when that building was the tallest in the city.)

Our visit to Cambodia - particularly Phnom Penh was very moving - our guide had lost his father and brother during the genocide years, and was so pleased that western touists were visiting his country. It was a very humbling experience, and we can only hope their peace continues and thrives - they deserve that so much! The temples at Angkor were amazing - a bit like the Taj Mahal in so much that no matter how beautiful you believe they are before you visit, they are even better.

So, do we have any complaints? I can't think of any! We would have liked a little more time in Singapore, but even with our 8 hour stopover we managed tea at Raffles and numerous Singapore Slings in the Long bar! All the country travellers hints you gave us were invaluable; perhaps it would have been helpful to be told that a few sweets and pens would make the day for many of the Cambodian children, although really we should have thought of that ourselves before we departed the UK.

Again, thanks for everything - it was a special trip for our 25th and it exceedeed all our expectations.

with kind regards,
Ian & Jenny"
Mr. & Mrs. W. January 2006

" Just to give you some feedback on our holiday...
We enjoyed Cambodia very much, it a truly beautiful country with such interesting sights and Cambodian people are very warm and friendly! The itinerary that you arranged for us was perfect. The guides Paul, Verak and Lee were very knowledgeable, helpful and provided us with a trouble free stay. The hotels were impressive, very clean and comfortable, especially the Khemara Hotel and the Sokha Beach Resort. We firmly believe that travelling with Dragon Travel gave the opportunity to see Cambodia from an insider perspective...something that we probably would not have had with the major tour operators! Please pass our thanks to everyone involved with our trip especially the guides and drivers. We would certainly consider travelling with you again!!" -Cinzia & Gary December 2005

" I recently returned from the trip of Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore organized by your company . I had the most wonderful time through out the trip. Obviously the countries are beautiful, but the service I received from the tour guides and car service was out standing. Most of the hotels were fantastic and every thing was very well organized. I would never have been able to visit these places without your assistance and I’m extremely happy with your services and will definitely book another holiday with yourself soon. In the mean time, please keep up the good work and all the best."
-Miss N.T.November 2005

" My guide, Nara, was excellent. She shared with me her personal experiences under the Khmer Rouge, which were very moving. I felt honoured that she could tell me stories that still deeply affect her. She also taught me some of the Cambodian language, which was appreciated by the locals that I tried this, wherever I went. I was well looked after."
-Mr. K.J. November 2005

" Chanthla was an excellent guide around the temples, very knowledgable and a good english speaker. Unfortunately, I was sick for the last day and couild not take part in the planned itinerary - Chanthla took me to a Phamacist and provided me with lots of water."
-Mr. K.J. November 2005

" We've just been looking at our 300 plus photos of our fantastic fortnight in Vietnam and Cambodia and realised we hadn't written to express our thoughts about the holiday. Originally we had planned a holiday in China but that didn't quite work out so we thought we would give Vietnam a chance.

Having been on several group tours we were unsure of what to expect from an individual tour with our very own car, driver and guide but this added tremendously to the holiday experience. We were able to talk to our guides about their lives , their country and their feelings as well as give them some idea about life in the UK - including inevitable discussssions about football! Of the five guides we had only one of them was less than excellent and he was still pretty good; they were friendly, knowledgeable people with a great sense of fun and we shared lots of laughs with them. Our drivers too were friendly and capable, even the one who thought he was Michael Schumacher.....

We found the schedule tiring but if you want to see and find out things then that's the way it is going to be. After a long flight to Hanoi we did find it difficult to keep our eyes open during the excellent Water Puppet Show . There was plenty of walking in the towns and around the temples and sights but on foot is the best way to see a country and get to know about its people. The Vietnamese we met were lovely people who wanted to work, we saw very few beggars. They were helpful and friendly and had a great sense of humour and they give the impression that their country is really going places and they are determined to see it continue to progress.

We opted for the Standard hotels and were surprised by the very high standard of accommodation and food that we found in these establishments - we will never forget the view from our balcony over Ha Long Bay or the gardens in Ancient House, Hoi An. The restaurants chosen by our guides were very good although we did request smaller meals at one point! When we had a minor complaint our guide spoke to the restaurant owner immediately. not the sort of service you might get in Europe.

It would be unfair to pick out highlights of the tour because every day offered something different and unexpected. Having said that we do remember Ba taking us up and down innumerable flights of steps in Hue, talking with Sam in Phnom Penh about the terrible times his family endured in the 70's, entrusting Reno with our camera at the waterfall, having afternoon tea with Hieu at a roadside "cafe" coming back from the Mekong delta (and using the "facilities") and Cuong, if that's how it is spelt, teaching us how to cross a Hanoi street - which was to come in handy in Ho Chi Minh City too.

This was a wonderful experience and one which we have already recommended to our friends and colleagues - particularly those who expressed concern for our safety or doubted our sanity. We want to thank the tour operators in Vietnam and Cambodia, particularly our drivers and guides and most of all Dragon Travel, whose organisation was brilliant.

Many thanks and kind regards - Jenny & Ron"

" Where to start! We just wanted to send you a short note to say how much we enjoyed our recent trip to Vietnam. We will never forget our introduction to this most amazing country in Saigon & have to say we instantly fell in love with this city. From Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi to Halong Bay it was a whilwind of the most amazing sights, sounds, tastes and smells that we have ever encountered 7 find it almost impossible to pick a highlight as each town/city was so unique & special in its own right. But for us Halong Bay was truly memorable and exceeded all our expectations.

We have to say that the balance of the tours on our trip were just right with the perfect amount of sightseeing & rest included and our guides & drivers were excellent. We were very impressed with their knowledge and communication skills - and their ever-present smiling faces - nothing was too much trouble for them. Special mention must be given to our guide in Hanoi, Cheung who pulled out all the stops when we arrived at the airport to come home and discovered that our flight to Hong Kong had been cancelled! Within 30 minutes we were booked on a flight the same night to Bangkok and London and still able to catch our connecting flight from London to Edinburgh. Cheung and our driver Mr.Vic waited at the airport with us until we checked in a waived us through passport control. Service beyond the call of duty! and much appreciated by us both.

Our hotels were out of this world and we are very glad that we paid the small amount extra to go 4/5 star - it was a real treat & well worth it. As for the food - wow! We have never eaten and enjoyed food so much in our lives (we are currently searching the yellow pages for our nearest Vietnamese restaurant!) Every restaurant we were taken to by our guides was excellent as were the ones we managed to find for ourselves. However the biggest delight for us was the Vietnamese people - they could not do enough to help you & were always so happy and cheery it was quite humbling.

So, to you & your company and your agents in Vietnam a huge thank you. We will recommend your company to everyone & look forward to our next holiday with you - hopefully very soon.

Many thanks and kind regards - Keith and Suzanne"

"....I need to give you more details and more accolades. You did a fabulous job and we would be delighted to be a reference at any time. Just give our e-mail to prospective clients and we will tell them how wonderfully you worked with us from day one till the trip was completed and they put us on the planes for home.

Our drivers and guides were all excellent. Their english was good and they were knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. However we did have our favorites...Hu in saigon, Ba in the central part of Vietnam, Smey in Vientiane and Chanthral in Siem Reap. Mostly our hotels were lovely...the best was the last Angkor Village which was beautiful and very cambodian. We also loved the Rex in HCMC and Villa Santi Resort in Luang Prabang as they too were lovely and authentic.

The drivers were outstanding considering that the roads were awful and we felt very comfortable and lucky to be in such nice ac vans. The best was in Laos where we had an extremely large and plush van. The food was very good. Theplaces that they chose for us were varied giving us many different dining experiences. What stands out in my mind is a buffet that we went to in Hanoi but i don't know the name.

Again...thank you!!! thank you!!! thank you!!! I loved working with you and would love to tell people about you, your agency and our trip. I am sending a copy of this letter to Ki with my thanks for all that Dragon Travel did for us. I feel lucky to have found you.." - Mrs.S.O., (US Client) October 2005

" I am sorry that I have not been in touch earlier to thank you for organising our trip and give you some feedback. Overall we had an utterly fascinating time, meeting many delightful people and seeing entirely different ways of life. Our eyes were opened more widely to the experiences of Indochine over the last thirtyfive or so years.
In general we preferred the bustle of Ho Chi Minh city more to the atmosphere of Hanoi, but people who have been to the North before travelling to the South often say the reverse! Sapa was fascinating, most especially the Bac Ha market, well worth the drive. But Laos stole the show. What delightful people living in such a beautiful country. We loved easy-going Vientiane and Luang Prabang, and the river life of the Mekong. Our guides were good and we found ourselves in places we could never have got to had we been by ourselves. Buddhist chanting in a monastery and seeing an animist shaman in a H'Mong village trying to cure an elderly man...."

"We really liked the overnight tour to Halong Bay and the boat cruise and fresh seafood lunch on board. Lunch at 'Le Tonkin' was also very good. Our guide, My, was very knowledgable, exceptionally friendly, and willing to answer all questions thoroughly and honestly. We give My very high marks for being so solicitous at my pregnant wife's health and for always being considerate of our needs. Thank you for a wonderul time in the north [of vietnam]!"

"We just wanted to let you know that we really had the most fabulous, memorable holiday and apart from one small blip* everything went perfectly and according to plan - no mean feat when you consider we had ten flights in four countries as well as all the other travel arrangements by boat, bamboo raft, elephant and oxcart!

Please do feel free to pass our details on to anyone who would like a recommendation about your travel company as we would have nothing but praise for you. We certainly would travel with you again and thank you for for all your help and patience in putting such a wonderful trip together for us."

"Everything well organised and especially tour guides extremely knowledgable."
-Ms.C. April 2005

"I am suffering from an increasingly large guilty conscience for not having written to thank you for the excellent organisation of our recent holiday. Everything worked like clockwork, we were met and looked after by all of the guides in an exemplary fashion, especially when I fainted at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. The palace guide and our guide pulled out all the stops. We had a great holiday and saw a great deal - I am gradually sorting out over 1000 digital photos. Once again thank you for organising the trip. I have no hesitation in pointing it out to anyone interested. "
-Mr.B. April 2005

"As seasoned travellers this has to be one of the best organised and well thought out trips we have been on. From our first contact last year to the final itinerary, the terrible tsunami and the hitches that occurred were handled with great care and attention. The food was a delight to eat, the hotels were all of the highest quality and the guides and drivers were friendly, helpful, informative and humorous.
Myanmar was the "jewel in the crown" for us. This country must be visited to see and marvel at all the amazing sights it has to offer. Tin Tin our excellent guide was with us throughout the trip. She treated us like royalty and nothing was too much trouble for her. We were sad to say goodbye to her after a week in her company.
Laos was an eye opener. Starting at Luang Prabang with the room overlooking the Mekong river and our lovely guide Phone taking us around all the sights. Hope she remembers what we taught her as much as we remember the sights that we were shown. Vientiane is a lovely city and the days spent there were interesting.
Vietnam, from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay to Hue to Hoi An to HCMC (Saigon) what a visit. The hustle and bustle combined with the sights, out in the streets then a boat trip, back to the city, moving on wondering which way to look next (you don't see too many pigs on their backs strapped to a trishaw down our way). Past rice fields with oxen ploughing and up over the mountains for a different perspective. Again our guides and drivers were with us and Mr Hieu especially in HCMC was a joy to talk to, always asking questions to improve himself for future visitors but at the same time making sure that we knew everything about his city.
Koh Chang, Thailand, this island as yet is still largely unspoilt and recommended for anyone who just wants to get away from it all.
Our trip was 5 weeks in total with 16 separate flights, 12 hotels, 6 guides with drivers and the agent in Bangkok, each of them will be remembered for many different reasons and all good. There were 2 hiccups on the whole trip. They were both resolved efficiently and rapidly with all parties ensuring that we were looked after and that our trip could continue as per the itinerary.
We did not want to come home and would do it all again. We hope to return to these countries in the future to explore further areas and enjoy all their delights.
Well done Ki and Dragon Travel.
With many thanks"
