Terma Linca A very new hotel, the stone-and-wood built Terma Linca (Treasure Cottages) is beautifully designed in a 'minimalist-bhutanese' style and situated in a lovely position on a curve of the river. The other side of the hotel overlooks a rustic scene of rice paddies and fields, but the rooms overlook the river and you can lie in bed and watch the river go by. There is a lovely spa with bhutanese hot stone baths. Picture Feature on Terma Linca Hotel Hotel Picture Feature> |

Taj Tashi Although a more conventional city hotel than the Terma Linca, the Taj Tashi (a member of the upmarket Taj hotel chain) has been cleverly designed in the Bhutanese style. The spectacular atrium has a double height restaurant, and the 66 rooms and suites are all beautifully furnished in Bhutanese style. The hotel is in the center of Thimpu and a step away from shops, cafes and so on. Picture Feature on Taj Tashi Hotel Hotel Picture Feature> |
