DeLuxe	Alila This deluxe boutique hotel is located in a quiet part of Luang Prabang just a few minutes from the centre of town. You could say it has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime, being formerly the town's prison, but is now an all-suite top-notch designer resort. (Opens August 2010)
DeLuxe	Maison Souvannaphoum This former royal residence is now one of Luang Prabang's most stylish boutique hotels. Converted from a historic building, the rooms are not particularly large but they are stylishly furnished. The restaurant, gardens and pool are delightful, and the hotel offers an elegant but intimate atmosphere and a high degree of personal service. DeLuxe Boutique	Three Nagas The 3 Nagas is a beautiful boutique-style establishment with just 12 rooms and 3 suites in two separate buildings, both converted from delightful old buildings in the heart of the peninsula/old town of Luang Prabang. DeLuxe Boutique	Villa Maly Newly converted from five historic buildings, the art-deco themed Villa Maly's rooms all have their special view of the garden and pool. All Deluxe rooms have private balconies. Each one of the exceptional rooms is subtly arranged to incorporate time-honored Laotian architecture with an essence of the colonial past. Wooden parquet floors, four poster beds, mahogany armories and classic fans, surrounded with ornately decorated walls with rich hues of colors and textures, produce a luxurious ambiance.

Superior	Villa Maydou The Villa Maydou is made up of two wonderful old Lao traditional houses, now beautifully converted into a delightful small boutique hotel. Situated in a quiet tropical garden, the Maydou has real character and is hidden away in a quiet part of the old town, but still only a few steps from the shops and restaurants. Superior	Le Bel Air The Bel Air is a small, pretty hotel and bungalow resort situated on the quiet side of the Nam Khan river, opposite the main town of Luang Prabang, and right on the river bank. The buildings are designed to 'disappear' into the surroundings, and the rooms are decorated using local products, precious woods, natural silk and Laos hangings. Rooms have cable TV, air con, mini bar, bathtub and shower, hairdrier and bathrobes, and there are river views from every room. (No swimming pool)
Standard	Sala Prabang The Sala Prabang is one of small group of friendly local hotels in Laos run by members of the same family and is a charming boutique-style Auberge, comprising three original Heritage Buildings and a traditional Lao Bungalow. It is situated facing the Mekong, in a quiet part of the historic town, with a nice restaurant for breakfast, drinks or other meals on the banks of the river opposite. (No swimming pool)
Standard	Mekong Riverside Situated opposite the Mekong River, a few doors away from the Sala Prabang, the Mekong Riverside is a charming small boutique hotel conveniently situated for the historic center of Luang Prabang. Many of the rooms have river views, those on the upper floor also having lovely balconies to sit out and enjoy the peace of the river. Breakfast is taken at the adjoining 'Couleur Cafe'. Standard	Ancient Luang Prabang The Ancient is in the heart of Luang Prabang.near the night market. Its 12 rooms are quite spacious and very nicely decorated with traditional crafts. The foyer has a lively coffee shop and bakery, selling delicious cakes. (No swimming pool)
Standard	Luang Say Lodge (Pakbeng) This lovely lodge is the overnight stopover point on our River Mekong Journey between the Laos/Thai border and Luang Prabang. Standard	City Inn The City Inn Vientiane Hotel is a blend of modern design and Asian culture, and is a relative new modern hotel with pleasantly desgined rooms It is conveniently located near Namphou Circle, major temples and tourist sites, the morning market, foreign embassies, business and shopping centres.

	Hotels in Phonsavan (Plain of Jars)
Standard	Anoulack Khen Lao A simple modern hotel in Phonsavanh, this is nevertheless a very clean and well run establishment with tastefully decorated rooms. It is located in a convenient location for exploring Phonsavan, near to several restaurants and the market. All rooms are en-suite and have air-con, cable TV and fridge.
Standard	Auberge de Plain de Jars The Auberge de Plain de Jars is a charming mountain lodge, set high on the hillside above Phonsavan. The place has a definite 'alpine' feel to it, every room featuring an open fireplace where fires can be set in winter, when it can be quite cold here due to the elevation. The friendly manager, Sanya will extend a warm welcome to you.

	Hotels in Northern Laos
Deluxe	Muang La Resort The Muang La Resort is a delightful small resort of just 6 deluxe bungalows set in a lovely riverside garden. Opened early in 2008, the resort has a hot-spring fed jacuzzi pool, massage and sauna, all included in the price, and a good restaurant serving east/west dishes, with riverside terrace for relaxing. Standard	Boat Landing The Boat Landing is a well-known eco-resort situated on the banks of the Namtha River. The accommodation, arranged in bungalows built from local materials, is simple but comfortable, and the restaurant serves high-quality local specialities. Standard	Nong Khiaw Lodge A convenient stop-over on the river journey down the Nam-Ou river, The Nong Khoaw Resort is a newly opened bungalow resort perched high above the river. The accommodation is simple, but in very spacious bungalows, and the good restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please note: no air-con.

	Hotels in Vang Vieng
Superior	Thavonsouk The hotel is local style but situated right by the river. The deluxe room in this hotel are built like bungalows with back doors opening onto a terrace facing the river across a pleasant lawn. The rooms are spacious and decorated in local style.
Standard	Villa Nam Song This hotel, although simple, sits in a lovely garden by the river. The rooms are simple but spacious, and the whole building has the look of a big house from the 40's.

	Hotels in Pakse
Superior	Pakse Hotel The Pakse Hotel is the best hotel in Pakse centre, with a good location in the centre of town, within walking distance to the Mekong River, shops, market and restaurants. The yellow building has a fifties feel, and is a lively family-run hotel. Although it cannot be compared to the luxury hotels of Vientinae or Luang Prabang, it is nevertheless a comfortable hotel with a super rooftop restaurant with a great view over the town. (No swimming pool -yet)
Standard	Champa Residence The Champa Residence is housed in an attractive colonial style building, more in the style of a private house, surrounded by lovely gardens. The rooms are simply decorated in local style.

	Hotels in Southern Laos
Superior	La Folie Resort A relatively new resort on Don Daeng Island, La folie has spacious airconditioned 'thatched bungalow' style rooms and a nice swimming pool. There is also a bar and restaurant of course, and spa facilites will be added soon. Standard	Pon Arena Hotel A newly opened hotel, this comfortable establishment sits right on the Mekong riverside on Khong Island and is close to the restaurants in the riverside 'village'. The rooms are nicely decorated in local style arrange around the garden courtyard, and the hotel has a nice riverside dining terrace for breakfast or dinner.
Standard	Villa Muang Khong This is a nice simple hotel on Khong Island, and it has a nice restaurant with a view of the river The rooms are arranged around the pleasant courtyard, and are clean, air conditioned, and simply furnished in local style.
Standard	Sala Phae Floating Guesthouse This is a very charming accommodation built at the edge of the river, and comprising just three floating platforms each with two quite spacious guest bedrooms. The rooms are quite basic but have private facilities, and each has an lovely open platform on the river side with chairs to enjoy the life passing by on the river. Please note: no air-con.
Standard	Sala Don Khone The sister to the Sala Phae, this tiny French colonial house sits right next door and owned by the same family as the other 'Sala' hotels in Laos. The rooms are simple but perfectly comfortable and have ensuite facilities (shower only) and a terrace for sitting out and enjoying the lush gardens. Please note: no air-con.
Standard	Tadlo Lodge Tadlo Lodge is a comfortable bungalow-style resort situated right by the side of the beautiful Tadlo falls. With bungalows situated on both sides of the falls, the sound of the water can be heard everywhere. The Lodge has a nice restaurant and comfortable foyer and bar area. 	All the hotels we use in Laos are clean and comfortable, and all have en-suite facilities and room air-conditioning, except where noted. Many hotels, especially in remote areas, do not have swimming pools.
