A relatively new addition to the Vientiane scene, the Green Park is the first 'designer boutique' hotel in the Laos capital. This extremely stylish hotel is designed around two pools, one ornamental the other for swimming. The bathrooms each have private gardens to enjoy while you are taking a bath!

The Laos Plaza is an international-style hotel offering a good range of facilities and well -sized, comfortable rooms. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the main shopping areas and just a short walk to the Mekong river.

The Inter City faces the Mekong River, and is in the heart of the cafe area in Vientiane. This small hotel has been fully refurbished recently, and is charming and friendly with lots of local colour. There's lots of local art and craft on display and a bar/restaurant on the premises

This former royal residence is now one of Luang Prabang's most stylish boutique hotels. Converted from a historic building, the rooms are not particularly large but they are stylishly furnished. The restaurant, gardens and pool are delightful, and the hotel offers an elegant but intimate atmosphere and a high degree of personal service.

The Santi Resort is a recently completed luxury resort hotel a short drive out of Luang Prabang. Rooms are well furnished and spacious, and there is a lovely swimming pool and gardens. This hotel has rapidly become a favourite with our guests.

The Villa Maydou is made up of two wonderful old Lao traditional houses, now beautifully converted into a delightful small boutique hotel. Situated in a quiet tropical garden, the Maydou has real character and is hidden away in a quiet part of the old town, but still only a few steps from the shops and restaurants. (No swimming pool)

Sala Prabang
The Sala Prabang is one of small group of friendly local hotels in Laos run by members of the same family and is a charming boutique-style Auberge, comprising three original Heritage Buildings and a traditional Lao Bungalow. It is situated facing the Mekong, in a quiet part of the historic town, with a nice restaurant for breakfast, drinks or other meals on the banks of the river opposite.

Ancient Luang Prabang
The Ancient is in the heart of Luang Prabang.near the night market. Its 12 rooms are quite spacious and very nicely decorated with traditional crafts. The foyer has a lively coffee shop and bakery, selling delicious cakes.

Luang Say Lodge (Pakbeng)
This lovely lodge is the overnight stopover point on our River Mekong Journey between the Laos/Thai border and Luang Prabang. The 30 comfortable bungalows all have great views, wc/shower room and mosquito nets.

Hotels in Phonsavan (Plain of Jars)

Auberge de Plain de Jars
The Auberge de Plain de Jars is a charming mountain lodge, set high on the hillside above Phonsavan. The place has a definite 'alpine' feel to it, every room featuring an open fireplace where fires can be set in winter, when it can be quite cold here due to the elevation. The friendly manager, Sanya, who is half-french and half-lao will extend a warm welcome to you.

Hotels in Vang Vieng

Thavonsouk Hotel
The hotel is local style but situated right by the river. The deluxe room in this hotel are built like bungalows with back doors opening onto a terrace facing the river across a pleasant lawn. The rooms are spacious and decorated in local style.

Nam Song
This hotel, although simple, sits in a lovely garden by the river. The rooms are simple but spacious, and the whole building has the look of a big house from the 40's.

Hotels in Pakse

Superior

Pakse Hotel
The Pakse Hotel is the best hotel in Pakse, with a good location in the centre of town, within walking distance to the Mekong River, shops, market and restaurants. The yellow building has a fifties feel, and is a lively family-run hotel. Although it cannot be compared to the luxury hotels of Vientinae or Luang Prabang, it is nevertheless a comfortable hotel with a super rooftop restaurant with a great view over the town.(No swimming pool -yet)

Champa Residence
The Champa Residence is housed in an attractive colonial style building, more in the style of a private house, surrounded by lovely gardens. The rooms are simply decorated in local style.

Hotels in Southern Laos

La Folie
A new resort on Don Deng Island, La folie has spacious airconditioned 'thatched bungalow' style rooms and a nice swimming pool. There is also a bar & restaurant of course, and spa facilites will be added soon. The resort is situated directly over the Mekong from Champasak making a day trip to Wat Phou by boat an excellent excursion.

Villa Muong Khong
This is a nice simple hotel on Khong Island, and it has a nice restaurant with a view of the river. The rooms are arranged around the pleasant courtyard, and are clean, air conditioned, and simply furnished in local style.

Sala Phae Floating Guesthouse
This is a very charming accommodation built at the edge of the river, and comprising just three floating platforms each with two quite spacious guest bedrooms. The rooms are quite basic but have private facilities, and each has an lovely open platform on the river side with chairs to enjoy the life passing by on the river.

Tadlo Lodge
Tadlo Lodge is a comfortable bungalow-style resort situated right by the side of the beautiful Tadlo falls. With bungalows situated on both sides of the falls, the sound of the water can be heard everywhere. The Lodge has a nice restaurant and comfortable foyer and bar area.

Hotels in Northern Laos

Muang La Resort
The Muang La Resort is a delightful small resort of just 6 deluxe bungalows set in a lovely riverside garden. Opened early in 2008, the resort has a hot-spring fed jacuzzi pool, massage and sauna, all included in the price, and a good restaurant serving east/west dishes, with riverside terrace for relaxing. The Muang La Resort is French-managed.

The Boat Landing is a well-known eco-resort situated on the banks of the Namtha River. The accommodation, arranged in bungalows built from local materials, is simple but comfortable, and the restaurant serves high-quality local specialities. The Boat Landing is a very peaceful location from which to explore the Luang Namtha area. Please note: no air-con.

Nong Khiaw Lodge
A convenient stop-over on the river journey down the Nam-Ou river, The Nong Khoaw Resort is a newly opened bungalow resort perched high above the river. The accommodation is simple, but in very spacious bungalows, and the good restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
