Discover the gleaming stupas and majestic rivers of Myanmar!

From the broad, leafy avenues and stunning Shwedagon Pagoda of Yangon (formerly Rangoon), via the 3000-plus ancient monuments of amazing Bagan, to the busy riverside city of Mandalay, capital of Northern Myanmar, let Dragon be your travel partner in 'The Golden Land'.

Or for those who like to get off the beaten track, a few days at the outrageously beautiful Inle Lake, with its 17 villages built on stilts, or a break at the white sands of pretty Ngabali Beach, perhaps...

How we work....

If you are interested in one of the itineraries shown, or a special tour to suit your needs, do please give us a call. We will immediately assess flight availability for the dates you wish to travel. We will ask for the names of all the travellers, as shown on their passports: this will allow us to option flights for those dates. There is no cost or obligation to you for this service, and it allows us to discuss your itinerary in the knowledge that the flights are available.

When we have agreed your itinerary with you, we will make a quotation. In general the quotation will include all your flights, hotels, transfers, transport, guides, local guides, entrance fees and some meals.

If you wish to accept the quotation, you may pay by credit card, debit card or cheque. If your date of departure is less than 12 weeks away, we must ask for the full amount. If longer, you may pay the full amount, or a deposit as agreed between us. In general, we will ask for a deposit sufficient to cover the cost of your flights: please note that flights cannot normally be changed or refunded once confirmed.

We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance at the time of booking: we can offer good travel policies, or you may make your own arrangements.

Balloon Flights
Early morning balloon flights are a superb way to see the plain of Bagan, the temples illuminated by the rising sun, and can be booked as part of your tour. (Extra cost option)

Should you visit Myanmar?

Myanmar is a beautiful country with a long history, fascinating culture and genuinely welcoming, friendly people. It is a safe destination for travellers.

Some people say that people should not visit Myanmar: they say that by doing so they support the repressive military regime that has been in power since 1962.

Others say that by far the lion's share of the money you spend on your trip will go to the people who really need it: the ordinary people of Myanmar.

We recommend that you read as much as possible about Myanmar so that you can make an informed decision about whether to visit or not.
