This 5-day break in Thailand takes in Bangkok,
Kanchanaburi and the ancient capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya
Day 1. Arrival Bangkok (-/L/D)
Arriving Bangkok, our guide will be at the airport to welcome you & transfer to hotel.
Afternoon city tour includes The Grand Palace, Funeral Hall, Wat Pra Kaew, Wat Traimit, Wat Pho,
Wat Benchamabopit & temple of Dawn plus a canal tour on a private boat.
Evening to enjoy the traditional Thai dinner & dance.
Day 2. Bangkok - Kanchanaburi (B/L/D)
After an early breakfast, we set off by road for
Kanchanaburi province (about 2 hours). On arrival, we visit
the War Museum, the war cemetery and the bridge over the
River Kwai. Then we board the 'Death Railway' for a trip to
the end of the line, followed by lunch at a local
restaurant.. After lunch we take a long-tail boat up river
to check in at the Jungle Rafts. Later, you can chill out at
the Jungle Rafts or visit the nearby Mon village where you
can try elephant riding (extra cost option). Dinner &
accommodation at Jungle Rafts or Resotel.
Day 3. Hell Fire Pass (B/L/D)
This morning we take the boat to the Resotel pier, then
visit the famous 'Hell-Fire Pass' and the nearby war museum.
Return to Resotel for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner
and accommodation at Resotel.
Day 4. Kanchanaburi - Ayutthaya (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the resort, then travel to Ayutthaya by road.
Lunch at floating restaurant. Visit the ruins of Ayutthaya
and the four main Buddhist temples. Dinner and accommodation
at hotel.
Day 5. Ayutthaya - Bangkok (B)
At leisure until departure.
