The Beautiful South of Vietnam plus 4 days in Cambodia


Day 1. Ho Chi Minh City
Arriving Ho Chi Minh City, our Vietnam representative will be at the airport to welcome you & transfer you to your hotel. Afternoon city tour includes a tour of The Reunification Palace former Presidential Palace), Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, Thien Hau pagoda, China Town in Cholon & Binh Tay Market etc. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 2. Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy a morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh Province in the west of Vietnam. At Tay Ninh visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple, with architecture that could have come straight from a Walt Disney fantasy and where all the major faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail. In the afternoon visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Return to HCMC & overnight.  

Day 3. Ho Chi Minh City-My Tho-Can Tho
Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Depart for My Tho (2 hours drive from Ho Chi Minh city) and visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Take a boat trip to Thoi Son island, visit fruit orchards and enjoy fresh fruit with traditional music performance. Continue to visit a handicraft centre. Dinner and accommodation at hotel. 

Day 4: Can Tho-Phung Hiep-Soc Trang-Can Tho
Breakfast. Depart Can Tho to Phung Hiep (35 km) by car. Upon arrival at Phung Hiep, take a boat trip to a floating market. Lunch en route. Continue to Soc Trang to visit Bat Pagoda and Khmer Museum, drive back to Can Tho. Accommodation at hotel.

Day 5: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast. Depart Can tho to Ho Chi Minh (169km). Lunch en route. Transfer to hotel. Free at leisure. Accommodation at hotel 

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh - Phan Thiet
Leave Ho Chi Minh City by road for Phan Thiet. The scenic 200km drive north on Highway One passes through the bustling city of Bien Hoa before cutting through dense rubber plantations. Nearer to Phan Thiet the terrain changes to arid semi-desert with cactus plants and strange looking dragon fruit trees. Arrive in Phan Thiet in the late morning and check into resort. The rest of day is free to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 7-Day 9: Phan Thiet
Breakfast. Relax on the beach 

Day 10: Phan Thiet - Ho Chi Minh - Siem Reap
Breakfast. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to the airport for the short flight to Siem Reap. Accommdation in Siem Reap.

Day 11: Siem Reap (Angkor Wat)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon temple complex. Lunch at hotel restaurant. Visit Angkor Wat temple complex and enjoy watching Sunset on Phnom Bakheng. 

Day 12: Siem Reap
Breakfast. Morning trip to Phnom Kulen where the river of 1000 lingas features thousands of carvings engraved into the sandstone rocks under the water. We also visit the Rock temple with a large reclining Buddha. There will be a picnic lunch by the waterfall. Afternoon trip to see the oldest temple in Angkor, Banteay Srei. This temple has the best engravings among all the ruins.

Day 13: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for the short flight to Phnom Penh. Sightseeing, get to know Phnom Penh. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Royal Place, Silver Pagoda, Raung Damrei Museum and National Museum of Fine Arts.


Day 14: Phnom Penh - Departure
Breakfast. Visit Toul Sleng Museum of Genocide and Killing Field Museum. Lunch at city restaurant. Shopping at Phnom Penh markets as time permits before transfer to airport for departure.
