Malaysia & Borneo Experience (14 days)
KL, Batu, Malacca, Cameron Highlands, Kota Kinabalu (Borneo)
Day 1: Arr. Kuala Lumpur
Arriving Kuala Lumpur our Malaysia representative will be at the airport to welcome you & transfer to your hotel.
Today our city tour includes Independence Square, King's Palace, Railway station, Petronas Twin Tower, Chinatown &
Golden Triangle etc. Lunch at local restaurant. (L)
Day 2: KL - Batu Caves - KL
This morning we drive to visit the famous Batu Caves, a limestone hill which has a series of caves and cave temples,
and is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of the
Hindu festival of Thaipusam which attracts over 1.5 million pilgrims yearly, making it one of the largest annual
gatherings anywhere in the world. Return to Kuala Lumpur. After lunch rest of day at leisure. Tonight we will take
you out to the famous night market in Chinatown & then to the Petronas Twin Towers for the spectacular night view
of the city & a wonderful Malay buffet dinner with traditional Malay music & dance. (B/L/D)
Day 3: KL - Malacca - KL
This morning we drive for about 2 hours to the old historical city of Malacca. Our full day city tour includes St.
Peter's Church, Chinese Hill, Dutch Square, Chinatown & St. Pauls Hill etc. Drive back to Kuala Lumpur in the late
afternoon. (B/L)
Day 4: KL - Cameron Highlands
Today we leave Kuala Lumpur city & drive to the Cameron Highlands. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Today's tour
includes Tea plantation, Rose Farm, Strawberry Farm & Butterfly Park. (B/L)
Day 5: Cameron Highlands - KL
Morning at leisure. Afternoon we drive back to Kuala Lumpur & transfer to your hotel. (B)
Day 6 KL
A free day at leisure to do some shopping in Kuala Lumpur city. (B)
Day 7: KL - Kota Kinabalu (Borneo)
Trabsfer to airport for flight to Kota Kinabalu. Arriving Kinabalu International Airport, meet and transfer to hotel.
Afterwards our city tour will include Sabah Foundation Building, Poh Toh Tze Temple, Sabah State Mosque, Sabah State Museum
and heritage village. Lunch at local restaurant. In the evening, we visit the night market where
various types of goods and local produce are sold at bargain prices. Drive up to Signal Hill for a
night view of Kota Kinabalu during the sunset. Go for dinner at Kampung Nelayan seafood
restaurant with colourful cultural show of the enthic tribes in which you might be invited to participate.
Return to hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 8: Kota Kinabalu - Kinabalu National Park
Pick up from hotel and transfer to Kinabalu National Park, home to numerous species of interesting
flora and fauna. Explore guided nature trails with your nature guide. After lunch, a video presentation
at Park's Exhibition Hall. Guided walk to the Mountain Garden to see rare collection of mountain
plants and flowers. After tour, transfer to accommodation at Wildlife Mountain Lodge and overnight. (B/L/D)
Day 9: Kinabalu National Park - Kota Kinabalu
Pick up from Kinabalu Park Lodge and transfer to Poring Hot Springs and proceed to the canopy walkway through
nature trails of the lowland forest. Here we can observe wildlife and the tropical rain forest from the
canopy. You may be able to see birds and butterflies that fly below you. A packed lunch for the day is
included. Take a dip in the sulphur springs. After tour, transfer back to Kota Kinabalu and check in
at hotel. Evening, transfer to dinner at Tanjung Aru Seafood restaurant. (B/L/D)
Day 10: Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast, weset off to visit the ancestral home of Monsopiad. Learn about the Headhunters of
Borneo. The Monsopiad Cultural Villages features the story of one of the region's most feared warriors
in the history of the Kadazan-Dusun tribe in the Penampang district. Interesting features are skulls
from the collection of Monsopiad the warrior and old photograps and implements from past days.
After tour, transfer to lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to Kota Klias village jetty.
Arrive jetty at about 1600 hours, light refreshment will be served. Afterwards, set off for river cruise
in search of wildlife such as the Proboscis monkeys, varieties of birds, monitor lizards, bornean bats
and crocodiles. As dusk sets in observe the flickering of fireflies. At 1930 hours,
a traditional Malay dinner will be served upon arrival from the boat cruise. Transfer back to hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 11: Kota Kinabalu - Mamutik/Manaukan Island Tour
At 0830 hours, we leave the hotel and transfer to Jesselton Point Jetty for the 0930 boat departure to
Mamutik Island. An idyllic island where you can swim, snorkel or just simply relax and unwind on the sandy
beaches which are normally very peaceful and tranquil. To enjoy your stay more, we will provide you with
mask, snorkel and beach mat. After BBQ lunch, transfer to Manukan Island for more snorkeling. 1530 hours,
depart island and return transfer back to hotel. (B/L)
Day 12: Kota Kinabalu - Half-day Lok Kawi Wildlife Park Tour
After breakfast, set off for Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. The park is a combination of a zoo and a
botanical garden. Sprawled over 280 acres of land, animals can be seen roaming wild within their
enclosure. There are over 88 animals in the park including orang utans, sun bears, clouded leopard,
elephants, proboscis monkeys, tigers, mouse deer, barking deer, various species of birds and Sumatran
rhinoceros. Return to your hotel by 1300 hours. (B)
Day 13: Kota Kinabalu
A free day at leisure. (B)
Day 14: Kota Kinabalu - KL - Departure
Transfer to airport for your flight to Kuala Lumpur, for connection to your onward or return flight. (B)
