Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak (14 days)

This tour visits Kuala Lumpur and Malacca, then takes in the beautiful provinces of Sabah and Sarawak in Borneo.


Day 1: Arr. Kuala Lumpur
Arriving Kuala Lumpur our Malaysia representative will be at the airport to welcome you & transfer to your hotel. Today our city tour includes Independence Square, King's Palace, Railway station, Petronas Twin Tower, Chinatown & Golden Triangle etc. Lunch at local restaurant. (L)

Day 2: KL - Batu Caves - KL
This morning we drive to visit the famous Batu Caves, a limestone hill which has a series of caves and cave temples, and is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of the Hindu festival of Thaipusam which attracts over 1.5 million pilgrims yearly, making it one of the largest annual gatherings anywhere in the world. Return to Kuala Lumpur. After lunch rest of day at leisure. Tonight we will take you out to the famous night market in Chinatown & then to the Petronas Twin Towers for the spectacular night view of the city & a wonderful Malay buffet dinner with traditional Malay music & dance. Day 3: KL - Malacca - KL
This morning we drive for about 2 hours to the old historical city of Malacca. Our full day city tour includes St. Peter's Church, Chinese Hill, Dutch Square, Chinatown & St. Pauls Hill etc. Drive back to Kuala Lumpur in the late afternoon. (B/L)

Day 4: KL - Kuching
Transfer to airport for your flight to Borneo. Arriving Kuching, our local representative will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer to hotel. After lunch tour of city & local museum. Dinner at local restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Kuching - Semenggoh - Kuching
This morning we depart for the Semenggoh Orang Utan sanctuary. After lunch we visit Wind & Fairy Caves. In the evening we depart for Sunset Sarawak River Cruise tour, thendinner and return to hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Kuching - Lemanak River Longhouse
This morning we depart for Lemanak River Longhouse with stopover at Serian Bazaar to visit Native Market, Farm House to see how pepper vines, cocoa trees are grown and lunch at Lachau Trading Centre. After lunch we depart by longboat to Lemanak River/Longhouse & overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 7: Lemanak River Longhouse - Kuching
This morning activities at Longhouse. After lunch we drive back to Kuching & transfer to your hotel. (B/L)

Day 8: Bako National Park
This morning we visit the Bako National Park. This is the oldest National Park in Sarawak where we may be able to see wildlife such as long-tailed macaques, white bearded pigs, silver leaf monkeys etc. (B/L)

Day 9: Kuching - Kota Kinabalu
Transfer to airport for your flight to Kinabalu, our Borneo representative will be at the airport to welcome you & transfer to your hotel. Today city tour includes visit to Signal Hill, photo stop at the Sabah Foundation Buildling. To Buddhist Temple, Sabah State Museum, the State Mosque etc. (B/L)

Day 10: Kinabalu National Park
This morning we visit Kinabalu National Park. The home to numerous species of interesting flora and fauna. After lunch, a video presentation at Park's Exhibition Hall. Guided walk to the Mountain Garden to see rare collection of mountain plants and flowers. Return to Kota Kinabalu and transfer to hotel. (B/L)

Day 11: Kota Kinabalu
This morning we visit the ancestral home of Monsopiad. Learn about the Headhunters of Borneo. The Monsopiad Cultural Villages features the story of one of the region's most feared warriors in the history of the Kadazan-Dusun tribe in the Penampang district. Interesting features are skulls from the collection of Monsopiad the warrior, and old photographs and implements from the days of yore. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, depart for a 2 hours drice to the Klias Wetland Forest Reserve. Upon arrival at about 1630 hours at the jetty, light refreshments will be served. By 1700 hours, commence on river cruise in search of the proboscis monkeys and other wildlife. As dusk sets in and on the way back to the jetty, observe the spectacular display of lights by the fireflies. Traditional Malay dinner will be served. After dinner, transfer back to hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 12: Kota Kinabalu
This morning transfer by boat to Mamutik Island. An idyllic island where you can swim, snorkel or just simply relax and unwind on the sandy beaches which is normally very peaceful and tranquil. To enjoy your stay more, we will provide you with mask, snorkel and beach mat. After BBQ lunch, transfer to Manukan Island for more snorkeling. 1530 hours, depart island and transfer back to hotel. Day 13: Kota Kinabalu
A free day at leisure. (B)

Day 14: Kota Kinabalu - KL - Departure
Free at leisure until transfer to airpoirt for your return flight to UK. (B)
