The South of Vietnam, including a few days on the beach, plus Cambodia!
Day 1. Arr.Ho-Chi-Minh City (L/D)
Arriving at Ho Chi Minh City, our Vietnam guide will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
Today's city tour includes The Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace), Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Lam Son
Square, Ben Thanh Market and Thien Hau pagoda, the Museum of the HCM Campaign and other sights as time permits. Evening dinner
at a local Vietnamese restaurant.
Day 2. HCMC - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi - HCMC (B/L)
A morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside takes us to Tay Ninh Province in the west of Vietnam
to visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple. With architecture that could have come straight from
a Walt Disney fantasy, here all the major faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail.
After lunch, we visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese
resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Return to HCMC.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho (B/L/D)
Our guide will call for you at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, then depart for My Tho (2 hours drive from Ho Chi Minh city)
to visit the Vinh Trang pagoda. Then we take a boat trip to Thoi Son island, visiting fruit orchards and enjoying fresh
fruit with traditional music performance. Continue to visit a handicraft centre. Dinner and accommodation at hotel in Can Tho
Day 4: Can Tho - Phung Hiep - Soc Trang - Can Tho (B/L)
After breakfast, we depart Can Tho to Phung Hiep (35 km) by car. Upon arrival at Phung Hiep, we take a boat trip to a floating
market. Lunch en route. Continue to Soc Trang to visit Bat Pagoda and Khmer Museum, then drive back to Can Tho.
Day 5: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
After breakfast we depart Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh city (169km), taking lunch en route, and transfer to hotel. Afterwards, at leisure.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh - Phan Thiet (B)
Today we leave Ho Chi Minh City by road for Phan Thiet. The scenic 200km drive on Highway One passes through the
bustling city of Bien Hoa before cutting through dense rubber plantations. Nearer to Phan Thiet the terrain
changes to arid semi-desert with cactus plants and strange looking dragonfruit trees. After arrivong in Phan Thiet in
the late morning, we check into resort and the rest of day is free to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach.
Day 7: Phan Thiet (Mui Ne) (B)

Day 9: Phan Thiet (Mui Ne) (B)

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap (Cambodia) (B)
After breakfast we leave Phan Thiet for Ho-Chi-Minh City airport, where we take a short flight to Siem Reap. At Siem Reap airport,
our Cambodia guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 11: Siem Reap/Angkor (B/L)
The antiquites of Angkor are on the agenda today, starting with the ancient royal capital of Angkor Thom: Bayon,
Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, the Terrace of Elephants and Leper King and Taprohm temples. After lunch we visit 7th World
heritage wonder, Angkor Wat, followed by the Ta Som, Ta Keo and Pre Rup temples. Return to town.
Day 12: Siem Reap - Phnom Kulen - Siem Reap (B/L)
This morning we drive to Phnom Kulen where the 'River of 1000 Lingas' features thousands of symbols carved into the
sandstone rocks under the water. We also visit the Rock temple, with its large reclining Buddha, and take a picnic
lunch by the waterfall. On the return trip, we visit the oldest temple in Angkor, the 10th century Banteay Srei. This
temple has the best engravings among all the ruins and was used in the film'Lara Croft Tomb Raider'.
Day 13: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh (B/L)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Phnom Penh, where our Phnom Penh guide will meet you and transfer you to your
hotel. Afterwards, we take a city tour of Phnom Penh, including the Royal Place, the Silver Pagoda, the Raung Damrei
Museum, the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Independence monument and central market.
Day 14: Phnom Penh - Departure (B/L)
A visit to Toul Sleng Museum of Genocide plus a trip to see the world famous Killing Fields. (These trips are included, but
optional). Then at leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your return or onward flights.
